드론의 발전 - 이제는 최대 2명까지 탑승 가능

안녕하세요? 허니입니다 최대 두명까지 탑승 가능한 거대 드론이 등장하였다는 로이터 통신 소식을 듣고 이렇게 포스팅 합니다. 앞으로 미래는 어떻게 될까요? 자동차는 사라지고 드론이 자동차 역할을 대신해 주는 세상이 올수도 있다는 생각을 해 보면서 포스팅을 시작해 보겠습니다.

Huge two-seater ‘drone’ aims to reinvent the helicopter

두 명까지 탑승 가능한 거대 드론 등장

SureFly is a drone you can ride - and could reinvent personal transportation. 

SureFly는 당신이 탈 수 있는 드론이며, 개인 교통 수단을 재 발명할 것입니다.

The two-seater octocopter designed is for 'short hop' journeys, with a range of about 70 miles on a single tank. 

이 2인용 옥토콥터(프로펠러가 8개인 무인기)는 한개의 연료 탱크로 약 70마일의 거리를 비행할 수 있는 '짧은 거리' 여행을 위해 설계되었습니다.

It will reach altitudes of about 4,000 ft. and hit speeds of up to 70 miles per hour. 

이 드론은 약 4,000 피트 정도까지 올라갈 것입니다. 최고 시속 70 마일의 속도로 비행할 수 있습니다.

"It's basically a massive drone... What we're trying to do here is reinvent the helicopter, the helicopter down to where more of an average person can use it. So it's designed to be super safe, it has a gasoline generator that generates electricity for eight electric motors directly coupled to the props. But should that generator fail, we have five minutes of lithium batteries to get you down safely. And top on of that, if everything else fails, we have a ballistic parachute right in the middle." 

"이 무인기는 기본적으로 거대한 드론입니다. 우리가 하려고 하는 것은 헬리콥터를 재개발하는 것입니다. 헬리콥터를 더 많은 일반인이 사용할 수 있도록 말이죠. 또한 아주 안전하게 만들어졌습니다. 8개의 전기 모터에 공급하는 전기를 생산하는 가솔린 발전기를 가지고 있습니다. 프로펠러와 직접적으로 연결되어 있습니다. 하지만 그 발전기가 고장 났을 때, 5분간 지속되는 리튬 전지로 안전하게 착륙할 수 있습니다. 최악의 경우 중간에 낙하산이 장착되어 있습니다."

The propeller arms are retractable, reducing Surefly's size to about that of a large car. 

프로펠러는 접을 수 있어 크기가 같은 사이즈의 차량으로 줄어듭니다.

Unlike a helicopter, far less training will needed be to get a license. 

헬리콥터와 달리, 면허를 받기 위해서는 훨씬 적은 훈련이 필요합니다.

"We're hoping to get certified as a light sport aircraft - 20 hours of training, and if you can fly a drone, you can fly this... We built it to be super easy to fly, that was the main design element we went for. It's very much like a drone. It's complete fly-by-wire, it has a joystick for directional control. A forward push of this angles the vehicle, all automatically the computer does everything, keeps you balanced and drives you forward. Left-right, and then for up and down there's a button for changing your altitude."

The SureFly made its public debut - albeit grounded - at this week's Paris Air Show. 

비록 비행하지는 못했지만, 이번 주 파리 에어쇼에서 SureFly는 공개적으로 첫 선을 보였습니다.

Maiden test flights should take place this year, with Workhorse confident of U.S. approval from the Federal Aviation Administration.

They're aiming for market in 2019 with a target price of 200,000 dollars.
